Where SevenMail is different

Boards and tasks

Superhuman splits your inbox by sender type; its pages list no boards or tasks. SevenMail’s inbox is a board you drag cards across, with tasks suggested from requests and deadlines.

An AI on your Mac

Superhuman’s policy names AI providers that process your mail. SevenMail’s AI runs on your Mac; no server of ours sees your mail.

EUR 79.99 a year for everything, against USD 300 a year on Starter and USD 396 on Business.

SevenMail and Superhuman

Switching

Your mail, labels and stars live in Gmail. Switching is signing in with Google.

  1. 1Sign in with Google

In SevenMail, choose your Google account. That is the whole setup.

  2. 2Your mail is already there

Labels, stars and the archive live in Gmail, so they appear as you left them.

  3. 3Copy what stays behind

Settings inside the old app do not move. Copy what you want to keep first.

Good to know

Both apps work on your Gmail, so your labels, stars and archive are already in Google. Sign in with Google in SevenMail. Superhuman’s snippets, split rules and team settings live in Superhuman and do not carry over, so copy what you want to keep. SevenMail has no import tool for Superhuman’s settings yet.

Questions

Is SevenMail released?+

Not yet. A closed beta comes first; the waitlist on the home page is the way in. The table marks what is in the beta and what is planned, and we change this page when that changes.

Does SevenMail have read receipts?+

No. SevenMail blocks trackers and does not tell senders when you open a mail. Superhuman’s Read Statuses show you when and on which device a recipient opened your mail. People use that feature; we chose differently.

Can SevenMail replace Superhuman for a team?+

No. SevenMail is for one person: there are no shared inboxes, comments or CRM integrations.

What does the AI see?+

In SevenMail, the model on your Mac sees the sender, the subject and the start of a message to sort it. Superhuman’s policy says it uses AI providers, that they are restricted from training their models on your content, and that you can decide whether Superhuman trains its own models on it. Read the policy for the details.

Does SevenMail work with Outlook?+

Not yet. SevenMail works with Gmail and Google Workspace accounts only.
